Why do we have July 4th?
by Bubbles
Because the people who had slaves didn't want the slaves anymore, and so they freed the slaves and everyone is united under one country, because initially they were fighting because the confederates had bigger plantations than the blue ones. I think they were farmers who owned land. But then then blue ones were the industrial people, so they don't need slaves. And then they freed them, and I think they were bribed too. The president said, "you can keep your land if you give up the slaves." Its called the Emancipation Law. The Law of Emancipation.

After I explained that July 4th was the day we declared our independence from England, Bubble's replied:
I thought that July 4th was our independence from the blacks?

American History 101
by Bubbles

We were banished from England. And then we took the lands from the Pilgrims because they were black and poor. And then we bribed them with turkey and told them to raise the turkeys, and we took the land for the turkeys. And then we made the pilgrims the maids, and they were banished to the rocky mountains to live in tepees. And then we declared this land as our own. But there was black people that were born and got mad, cause they were black. And they were treated like slaves because they were black and had thick skin. And then there was civil war because some people wanted to be black and some people wanted to be white. (Bubbs commented: Remove the black, I don't think people wanted to be black.) And people got mad, because they weren't allowed to do their chants and rituals, and then the President decided they shouldn't have black slaves and all were free and everyone lived happily ever after. And then the mexicans came. And then the asians came. And then the indians came.

I've read some of my poems from high school.

Painful.

I can't describe how painful it truly is.

Ugh...

So.....Bubbles saw a x-mas tree in Menards.
It was on sale.
She bought it, and brought it home.
She's like, "its a small tree....it won't be any trouble."
Its 7 1/2 feet!
She's half-way through putting it up, and she keeps repeating two things.....
"I HATE CHRISTMAS TREES!" and "It looked so small in the store.....its so big."

Our Google, which art in Mountain View, California,
Hallowed by thy Name
Thy internet come
Thy will be done, in internet as it is in Googleplex
Give us this day our daily searches
And our email, news, feeds, maps, images, shopping, blogger, calendar, docs, and porn
As we give you our confidential information to be used as you see fit.
And lead us not into spam, viruses, or pirate sites that we REALLY want to get to
But deliver us from Microsoft
For thine is the internet, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen

This prayer was written for Google Chrome, which so far is SWEET. I've been waiting for a browser like this for a long time. =D

"This is so weird, it feels like a hand job." - My roommate, as she's rolling cookie dough into balls.

ITS NOT YOUR FAULT

And you know what? I'm feeling pretty good. I'm doing fairly well for myself. And I'm proud of myself. I do miss some people...a lot of people, but that happens.

Things I'd like:
A sexy, intelligent, and funny girlfriend.
A group of guy friends to hang out with.
A group of people to game (D&D, xbox, pc) with.
A couch and tv.

But I'm doing pretty damn good.

EDIT: Also, I was a pretty fucked up kid. And arrogant. And hateful towards the world. I'm still pretty arrogant and fucked up...not as hateful towards the world though.

I have a flat tire. I hit something on the road that I didn't see, and it killed my tire. There's a huge leak in it. Luckily, tomorrow is payday, so tomorrow I'll take care of it.

3.1 miles yesterday
3.6 miles today. My legs were still sore from yesterday... But a little to eat and drink before I worked out help get me through it. :)

The first week, I ran/lifted a day, took two days off, rinse, repeat. Not the best start, but its better to start slow, and I'm still doing it.

This past week I've been feeling very depressed and asocial.

I need friends up here.

I have no project right now for work...it sucks, as I don't have a lot to do.

Swimming with Sharks - kind of a fucked up movie...

Look, I can appreciate this. I was young too, I felt just like you. Hated authority, hated all my bosses, thought they were full of shit. Look, it's like they say, if you're not a rebel by the age of 20, you got no heart, but if you haven't turned establishment by 30, you've got no brains. Because there are no story-book romances, no fairy-tale endings. So before you run out and change the world, ask yourself, "What do you really want?"
